We really enjoyed getting to learn more about each other this week! Students worked with Play-Doh and Magna Tiles. They played number games and alphabet games. Students created handprint paintings, sorted buttons, learned how to use the iPads, and much, MUCH more!
Welcome Kindergarten Families,
Colorado Elementary School is hosting a "Back to School" evening on Tuesday, August 18th from 5:45pm-6:45pm. This will be a great opportunity for me to get acquainted with your child and for him or her to become familiar with the classroom. I am excited to meet your child and hopefully alleviate some of those first day jitters. Students are welcome to bring their backpack and classroom supplies. Don't forget your camera! This is a great chance to capture some fun photos! During your visit you will find a sign-up sheet for parent-teacher conference times, events, classroom activities as well as a calendar sign-up for our Mystery Reader Club. Mystery Readers read a story to our class from 12:30-12:45 every other Friday throughout the school year. Another important part of "Back to School" night is ensuring I have accurate information regarding your child's transportation plans and your contact information. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. You can email me at [email protected] or call me a 785-364-3251. I look forward to seeing you and your child on Tuesday, August 18th. Sincerely, Heather Hundley Check out this read aloud! The Night Before Kindergarten By Natasha Wing Illustrated by Julie Durrell The first of four butterflies has completed its metamorphosis!
