Students participated in the Hour of Code this week. Blended learning opportunities that included apps, tutorials, unplugged activities, and the programming of a Lego robot were included in the lessons. Students were engaged in problem solving, critical thinking, and innovation. If you want to learn more about computer science and coding please check out code.org.
Balloon powered cars. Click here for ideas from Design Squad on how to create a balloon powered car. Students are brainstorming ways to create balloon powered cars. We will be creating and testing our models to see which car goes the farthest and the fastest.
Students observe our new friends "the ants" as they create tunnels in their new ant farm. The ant farm was part of a Donor's Choose donation our class recently received.
